  1. So fun to hear from you Jen, thanks for the postcard from Ethiopia – it just came. I never saw or heard of wild turkeys in Katanga – are you sure it wasn’t Wahid who released them in preparation for Thanksgiving?? Next time you are stateside think about Washington DC – I’d love to see you guys, have plenty of room and would be happy to facilitate tours of the capital and surroundings..

    1. We also mailed a postcard to ourselves from Ethiopia – it took 5 months to get here! So strange. The rumor about the turkeys is they jumped the fence from Fungurume. The one I photographed used to be super-scrawny. I will have to ask Wahid! We’ve seen his goats around… Yes would love to see you in DC sometime!!
